It was released on October 24, 2011, containing (almost) all the tracks of Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as three "new" tracks, originally created in early 2010 to substitute for tracks removed due to dispute-related departures from the music team, but were not previously available in any other album these three tracks are available separately for free. It covers music from Act 1 to the middle of Act 4. 1-4 is a Compilation Rerelease of the first, second, third, and fifth official releases of Homestuck music, re-released at a cheaper price. These albums typically have music that does not appear in the comic at all. Typically, these albums explore genres not normally done on the team albums, and play around with the format more. Solo Albums: Beginning with the release of Strife note Alternia was also a solo album, but it doesn't fit in with the pattern of the others, being priced at $6.12, and the themes are recurring, Andrew has decided to showcase the talents of the individuals of the music team by giving them all a chance to perform solo.At least two have been "composed" by characters in the comic itself.
